Katy's second single is Teenage Dream. Like California Gurls, it's also produced by Max Martin and Dr. Luke. Until the dance mixes and official video
are out, she's put together a video of the lyrics and stills.
Hopefully we'll get some better mixes than what was released for California Gurls
Darnnit! I know there's still more mixes of California Gurls coming down the pike... They're really working this record to the bone! Not that it's a
bad thing - the lead single still needs to be present for a few weeks until the album comes out.
Teenage Dream is cute, but I was really pulling for E.T./Alien to be the next single. Something tells me it might be a future single, but it all
depends on how the promotion for this album gets rolled out....
Joel + John Michael = HELL & KELLER
Joel + John Michael + Billy Waters = AUDIO ASSEMBLY
They've changed the third single from Peacock to Firework.
And there's a Hector Fonseca 12" mix floating around of Peacock.
Thank god they did, Peakcock is not that great of a song. The remixes that have leaked are horrible, so i'm hoping they do something hot with
Firework.

I was excited to hear Peacock after seeing the LQ live performance, but the mix has currently left me unimpressed. I listened to the clip of Firework
and am unsure of how I feel about it. Especially with Kelis just releasing a similar themed song that was amazing and underrated.

VANDALISM? AWESOME! About time they got a mainstream track to mix!
Though I have to say, while they've been favorites of mine for years now (see mixes of: "Licky", "Never Say Never", "Heater", "Bucci Bag", "Needy
Girl", "She Came Along"), a couple their recent mixes (see: "Hey Hey", "She Got It") have gone into that noisy Afrojack/Chuckie/stabby-synth territory
that I'm not crazy about. Hopefully this mix will be one of their hotter ones!
Don't care for the Kaskade mix... kinda boring... not at all up to par with his mixes of the past.
I've listened to his mix quite a few times now. I am enjoying it quite a bit, actually! But the only production of his I've ever disliked is his Bad
Romance mix, so I have a bias I suppose.
Between the three of these, I prefer both MHC and Kaskade's to Dave's. I was hoping he'd turn this song around like he did for Ke$ha's YLIMD or Iyaz'
Solo.
the instrumentals for the whole album have leaked, wow! let's make acapellas and let the 545345227425744527 mixes surface!...ok not XD
Hard to believe, but they're all real. Would love to hear some hot mixes for Circle the Drain since it probably won't be a single and get the remix
treatment.
Just a coincidence how these instrumentals were leaked a week after the Teenage Dream album release? Billboard.com posted a story on how the first week sales of 192,000 units was considered an industry disappointment.
The instrumentals will likely generate some interesting dance mixes or mashups and allow people to make funny sing along YouTube videos. More
importantly, it'll keep some awful American Idol hopefuls busy.

Wow.....her first two singles went top 10 yet her album sales failed to make the industry happy. What's wrong with this picture? Was the album
properly promoted and available? Was the price point right for the amount of tracks on the CD? Has Katy done any public appearances recently to help
generate hype?
Current Favorite: Will I Am & Nicki Minaj - "Check It Out"
Flashback Favorite: DJ Encore - "I See Right Through To You"
Well in this day and age it boils down to “down loading”. We all know music sales are way down and it reflects in the cd buying market today. I
think Katy selling close to 200k is really good. What does it take now days for a cd to be number one ? 60-100 K a week?
