Nice teaser!

I've heard rumor that she's changing her sound to "rock" and I sincerely hope that this is JUST a rumor. She's easily today's queen of dance music and it would be a shame if she did an about-face so quickly.

I would love to see a more rock orientated album. Obviously, we're not talking about heavy metal here, but something in the vein of David Bowie and Queen. She can still put out great dance mixes. Look at P!nk, it's working very well for her.

Here's to hoping the instrumentation is surprising (rock could definitely work in her favor), cause that chorus is like Christina Aguilera's leftovers from Beautiful if the song is a ballad.

I believe Nothing On (But The Radio) is an early demo that hasn't surfaced until recently. I think it's a well-written song and her delivery is spot-on, it's a shame this didn't make the cut.

As for Ms. Gaga, I believe her lack of recent material is wonderful and purposeful. She and her crew are allowing everyone to take a bit of a break before slamming us again with another 2 years of Gagadom.

Just saw these lyrics and figured someone would be posting them here sooner or later.

____

BORN THIS WAY
WRITTEN BY: LADY GAGA
PRODUCED BY: LADY GAGA, FERNANDO GARIBAY, DJ WHITE SHADOW
MIXED AND ENGINEERED BY: DAVID RUSSEL

INTRO:
It doesn't matter if you love him, or capital H-I-M
Just put your paws up
’cause you were Born This Way, Baby

VERSE:
MY MAMA TOLD ME WHEN I WAS YOUNG
WE ARE ALL BORN SUPERSTARS
SHE ROLLED MY HAIR AND PUT MY LIPSTICK ON
IN THE GLASS OF HER BOUDOIR

"THERE'S NOTHIN WRONG WITH LOVIN WHO YOU ARE"
SHE SAID, "'CAUSE HE MADE YOU PERFECT, BABE"
"SO HOLD YOUR HEAD UP GIRL AND YOU'LL GO FAR,
LISTEN TO ME WHEN I SAY"

CHORUS:
I'M BEAUTIFUL IN MY WAY
'CAUSE GOD MAKES NO MISTAKES
I'M ON THE RIGHT TRACK BABY
I WAS BORN THIS WAY

DON'T HIDE YOURSELF IN REGRET
JUST LOVE YOURSELF AND YOU'RE SET
I'M ON THE RIGHT TRACK BABY
I WAS BORN THIS WAY

POST-CHORUS:
OOO THERE AIN'T NO OTHER WAY
BABY I WAS BORN THIS WAY
BABY I WAS BORN THIS WAY
OOO THERE AIN'T NO OTHER WAY
BABY I WAS BORN-
I'M ON THE RIGHT TRACK BABY
I WAS BORN THIS WAY

DON'T BE A DRAG -JUST BE A QUEEN
DON'T BE A DRAG -JUST BE A QUEEN
DON'T BE A DRAG -JUST BE A QUEEN
DON'T BE!

VERSE:
GIVE YOURSELF PRUDENCE
AND LOVE YOUR FRIENDS
SUBWAY KID, REJOICE YOUR TRUTH

IN THE RELIGION OF THE INSECURE
I MUST BE MYSELF, RESPECT MY YOUTH

A DIFFERENT LOVER IS NOT A SIN
BELIEVE CAPITAL H-I-M (HEY HEY HEY)
I LOVE MY LIFE I LOVE THIS RECORD AND
MI AMORE VOLE FE YAH (LOVE NEEDS FAITH)

REPEAT CHORUS + POST-CHORUS

BRIDGE:
DON'T BE A DRAG, JUST BE A QUEEN
WHETHER YOU'RE BROKE OR EVERGREEN
YOU'RE BLACK, WHITE, BEIGE, CHOLA DESCENT
YOU'RE LEBANESE, YOU'RE ORIENT
WHETHER LIFE'S DISABILITIES
LEFT YOU OUTCAST, BULLIED, OR TEASED
REJOICE AND LOVE YOURSELF TODAY
'CAUSE BABY YOU WERE BORN THIS WAY

NO MATTER GAY, STRAIGHT, OR BI,
LESBIAN, TRANSGENDERED LIFE
I'M ON THE RIGHT TRACK BABY
I WAS BORN TO SURVIVE
NO MATTER BLACK, WHITE OR BEIGE
CHOLA OR ORIENT MADE
I'M ON THE RIGHT TRACK BABY
I WAS BORN TO BE BRAVE

REPEAT CHORUS

OUTRO/REFRAIN:
I WAS BORN THIS WAY HEY!
I WAS BORN THIS WAY HEY!
I'M ON THE RIGHT TRACK BABY
I WAS BORN THIS WAY HEY!

I WAS BORN THIS WAY HEY!
I WAS BORN THIS WAY HEY!
I'M ON THE RIGHT TRACK BABY
I WAS BORN THIS WAY HEY!

my opinion on the lyrics from PMB, fully aware that I haven't heard the final.
Quote:
The lyrics in full make a bit more sense, but this still sounds like she's emulating a low-budget motivational speaker giving her life story. She's also gone out of her way to make the lyrics very unrelatable barring a select group of individuals, almost to the point where production or delivery may not be able to save this from the public simply being turned off or just uninterested all-together. I'm not seeing how this is the next 'I Will Survive' at all, and I doubt the production/delivery will help it reach the hype.

That said, this kind of seems like little more than a shock single, and after thinking about it, I kind of agree... ...on the point that she's using (the topic of homosexuality) as a career platform to ignite controversy and effectively whore herself out for media attention. Needless to say, this is shaping up to be a marvelous single to do such a thing.

that said, Pop Justice has heard this and is giving it a pretty good review. I'm holding my final judgment for when I hear the full.

And finally, here's the song *sorry freshyesh, I didn't see you posted the song first :P*

I like it, it's not bad but it's not as strong as Just Dance or Bad Romance, also it reminds me in some way to "When Love Takes Over"... some people also say they hear reference to "Express Yourself" "God Is A DJ" and "Waterfalls". The ending part reminds me to Madonna's Future Lovers as well :P

It has to grow on me, it doesn't have that X-Factor that made me LOVE songs like "Poker Face" or "Bad Romance" the first time I heard them, This gonna be a hit for sure tho!

I WANT OFFICIAL MIXES NOW... lol :P

I'm interested to see how this plays out on the charts. Although the lyrics are very gay friendly they claimed that it was not a gay anthem, but I can't help but listen to it and think that it is. At least when you think back on other "gay anthems" from years past, it sounds like one.

Finally! A Gaga song I like! Probably because there is no this stupid precast formula that we find in the most Pop songs these days...
I can't wait for the unofficial remixes (Audio Assembly ? :P )
The offical remixes are always quite boring, but I still hoping for a Ralphi Rosario mix...

LOL sorry but this Gaga new song is just another generic pop song, and it's also a mixture from other songs already released, I'm not sure what you mean with "there's no stupid precast formula" on BTW.

I completely disagree, JNX. This is in no way "just another generic pop song". Lady Gaga has NEVER been generic. She's unique. And as far as that goes, what defines "just another generic pop song"? I think music has come quite a long way over the last 10 years. Music on the radio now is waaaay more upbeat and happier than it's ever been. And as far as style goes, what do we really want? How different does a song have to sound in order to please us? Just something that was bugging me when you posted that, and I had to respond.

Calm down, it was just my opinion.

When I said generic, I meant THIS SONG, not all her previous singles, Born This Way isn't on the same level that songs like "Love Game" or "Alejandro" have, and sorry dude but, you can't talk about "she's unique" when "Born This Way" has "When Love Takes Over" and "Express Yourself" sound all over the song.

I mean low range electro à la "Black Eyed Peas - The Time", Keyshia, David Guetta etc... There are a lot of different elements actually. Like the way to sing, chords, melody, chorus, beats, arrangement....
Gaga offers us something different from the current Hits. An Electronics /Pop-Rock /Country ? Whatever, glad to hear something different....

I agree.

The lyrics are very nice, but I find the arrangement horrendous: sounds like a cross between "dance in the dark" and "redneck woman."

Very interesting I find it to be a cross between Madonna' s "Express yourself" and TLC "Waterfalls"

Different writers, different producers.

Born This Way
Writers: Lady Gaga and Jeppe Laursen
Producers: Lady Gaga, Fernando Garibay, DJ White Shadow, Jeppe Laursen

On the Floor
Writers: Chico de Oliveira , Nadir Khayat, Armando Perez
Producer: RedOne

I didn't like this song at first, but it's starting to grow on me.

In general, it's interesting to read comments comparing a song to another song. It's 2011. A lot of great music has been created before this time. It's practically impossible for any song, artist, style or music video to be original today.

If she keeps putting out fun pop/dance tracks, then that would be great, but she has done nothing original, icon worthy or anything to seperate her from the rest.

It's all been done before, and better.

Her past album and EP were great with a very current sound taking pop back into dance rather than the r&b, but I agree with all that you said. I personally find her a bit grating. As eccentric as she tries to be, she is just as predictable. I cringed when I first read the lyrics with the "Put your paws up" nonsense and hoped, to no avail, that they were fake.

That said, I think you left out some of her assets that have made her such a success: namely, she is clearly one of the hardest working pop stars out there. And she's smart. Smart enough to have studied her predecessors to realize what worked and what didn't, and has sampled this and robbed that to create her own image out of the carcasses of past (and current) pop stars. The meat dress was certainly ironic, and I interpreted it very differently than the reasoning Gaga gave for wearing it. And most importantly, she can write one hell of a pop song that gets stuck in your head.

Even with the various issues I have Born This Way, I still really like the song. And frankly, what she's doing is obviously working, so I think she knows better than me (and other critics) anyway. It will be another #1 (the sales will be huge, I'm sure), and it at least made me intrigued as to what the rest of the album will offer.

i personally didn't like gaga till i heard speechless, after speechless I was hooked, i guess i am of the few that try not to look more into the music than what it is, if it's good it's good if not o well, gaga is not original but now a days who is?
every artist is compared to another artist of the past, fans critize a artist & always compare artists to one another, I always say who cares if they are original or not what I care about is the music. Is the music worth the listen? If i cared if the artist was original there would only be a handful to pick from and madonna, britney, christina, mariah, gaga would not be on my list as original artist just to mention a few.
i personally like born this was, what i really do love in music is when someone has a positive message, and like it or not gaga is one of those people or at least tries to be, if all the reviews that I read are true she has some really good messages in her new music. only my 2 cents :)

Regardless of what anyone thinks the song may or may not sound like, at the end of the day, the main question is: Do you like it?

And no, ladies, I don't... I love it!

It's such an empowering anthem and in every day life, that's just what this world is needing, imo. I am even more excited for the album than I was before. Can't wait for the remixes of this! I'm sure there are already 391 bootlegs, but I think I'ma wait for the officials, or until an acapella comes out that the good remixers can work with.

I do like the song a lot and I do absolutely agree with its sentiment, it's just that the expectations has been raised by six months of hype that possibly couldn't be completely fulfilled now that it's out. I expected from the hype that BTW wouldn't have been so deriative (David Guetta/Kelly Rowland "When Love Takes Over" on the verses, "Express Yourself" on the chorus). And I'm sure that there's a number of people who feels let down a bit like I am. But in the end the song's already a hit and I'm sure that there will be killer remixes out soon.

I thought the Egg Entrance was INCREDIBLE!!! How could anyone who likes theatrics not adore that? Gaga takes "All the world's a stage" literally and I love it.

The performance wasn't so great. But so far the only Gaga performance that has blown my mind was "Paparazzi" at the VMAs. Omg, I could watch it a thousand times back-to-back-to-back.

The song is growing on me, but the production still sounds icky. Hopefully Aude will fix it like he did with "LoveGame" and "Alejandro".

Ditto, after seeing tonight's performance and the long blond pony tail, flashback of Maddy's "Express Yourself" instantly came to mind. Personally, I really enjoyed her pre-award interview with Anderson Cooper a tad more than tonight's performance, though very happy she won over Justin whom probably thought he had it in the bag.

LOL! That's just silly.

1) The vast majority of her songs are dance. You prefer she just stand there?
2) Her theatrics, regardless of whether you love or hate them, have turned her into one of the world's biggest celebrities. She's sold millions of albums, been put on the cover of countless magazines, has already branded herself after just a couple years in the business to start slapping her name on products to make millions from, has had some of the most talked about and memorable performances in the past few years of awards shows, and has now already been profiled on 60 minutes.

You can say you find her shtick stupid, sure. You can say she's pandering, which she clearly is. But to say it doesn't work? Without the theatrics and dancing, she's Sarah Bareilles, whose name causes the majority of people out there to simply go, "Who?" Yea, whatever she's doing, it's most definitely working in her favor.

She has a great live voice and is more Amy Whinehouse then Britney, Janet or Madonna. She can sing her songs and play the piano while dancers dance.

That's true, but I do have to agree with Travis that that would just be boring. Very few people would want to just see Gaga sit at a piano and sing for her whole song while her back-up dancers do all the work. A lot of people like the uptempo version of her songs so I don't think they would like her just to perform piano versions, and regardless of how good or bad of a dancer she is I think most people would prefer to see her dance. Because it's more entertaining to watch her try, even if she does make a fool out of herself. :P

Don't get me wrong, I do agree and I wouldn't mind if time to time she performed solely with her playing the piano with her back-up dancers doing all the dancing, but I don't think she should do it every time. People like to see her being energetic and theatrical and if she just played the piano all the time and just focused on singing she couldn't do that as well. It just feels like more of a show seeing her try to sing, dance and be theatrical all at the same time. Plus her outfits are too outrageous to just see her sitting down in them the whole time. :P

Of all these pieces of broken dreams, there's one that scares and confuses me. If all these things that you say are true, you should be someone I always knew.

She definitely lacks in the dancing department, I think that's why I loved her Paparazzi performance so much. It was more atmosphere and setting than it was dancing. Of course, that song is much slower.. It would definitely be weird if she was just standing around singing "Born This Way" which demands movement.

A few things.. just got this in email from a friend in the industry - re: Born This Way

"She’s all but guaranteed the #1 spot and 1,000th #1 – she sold a whopping 450,000 in the first 3 days. And she looks to debut Top 5 on Hot 100 airplay. To show how big that is – Britney’s new single has taken 5 weeks to get to #6 on Hot 100 airplay and is one of the fasting climbing songs of all time. At Mainstream Top 40, Born This Way started with 4,602 spins – the previous record was 4,071 (Britney’s new single)."

Also .. check out my write up on Born This Way on dancemusic.about.com -- my take is that the song lived up to the high bar of expectations and is an homage.. look at it through the historical context.

Well, when radio stations around the country are paid by Interscope to play the song every hour on the hour for the entire weekend a record breaking high debut is expected. :)

I'm not a "Monster," but I do have to play her records (Yes, I still call them that.)

I'm baffled by people who say that Lady Gaga "clears their floors."

I'm interested: Where do you live? Because I spin to twinks that are in Montreal every other weekend and are incredibly picky and she NEVER EVER clears my floor. I have seen much less crowd reaction to her older songs, but that's due to the fact that they're played out for the most part.

All the hating on Lady Gaga is just noise to me: she's a pop artist. Who cares if she can dance? I for one would like to see the Dancing / Singing connection that Britney started go out the door. That way people can stop complaining about "She can dance, but she can't sing!" (That's called being a dancer) or "She can sing, but she can't dance" (That's called being a singer)

In any event, if you're Queer like I am, and are old enough to know better (meaning you can remember the days when you would LOVE to hear someone singing about your life) then you appreciate Gaga even if you don't like her music.

Performers aren't robots for you to control, no matter what the "Internets" tell you.

No one every said that Lady Gaga "clears floors" the statement that I made was that this song "Born this way" cleared my floor.
I have had very good floor reactions to a lot of her other productions and remixed material. But for some reason this song is not working for me in New Jersey USA the fist pump capital of the world. LOL

Nevertheless I never discredited her as an artist, i just think this song sucks. With respect to all the "she cant dance" comments, I agree with you. :-)

Lady Gaga Claims 1,000th Hot 100 No. 1 with 'Born This Way'

By storming the Billboard Hot 100 song chart at No. 1, Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" makes history as the 1,000th leading song in the list's 52-year history.

With opening-week digital sales of 448,000, "Born This Way" likewise breaks barriers with the largest debut sum for a female artist. Britney Spears established the prior mark four weeks ago upon, the arrival of "Hold It Against Me" (411,000).

The song is also just the 19th title to debut at No. 1 in the Hot 100's history.

The 1,000th Hot 100 No. 1 is Lady Gaga's third chart leader, following her first two singles: "Just Dance," featuring Colby O'Donis (the 968th No. 1), and "Poker Face" (972), both in 2009.

Good mix from DJ Kue (doesn't use full vox but he was working for the original) Ideally a full vox mix to come.

And as reported on his twitter, Chew Fu on the mix :)

^ This is an incredibly ignorant post and should be deleted so as not to add to the stigma the community battles everyday.

The definition of transgendered is a person who wants to belong to the other sex. Often they feel as though they were born the wrong gender, thus the fantastic (and long overdue) affirmation that those feelings you've had since you can remember are valid and its just apart of your journey.

Perhaps, but as a basic rule, it's probably best not to laugh at people you are ignorant about unless you want to look like a jerk.

I just wanted to post some random opinions about this song and a few things in general.

First off, I LOVE this song! I haven't been able to stop listening to it since it came out. I love the music, the beats, the lyrics, and the message that it get's across. I don't care if it sounds like some old Madonna song, which by the way, I don't think that it does. I've listened to Express Yourself a bunch of times since this came out and I heard that it sounded like it just to see if I could find a likeness, and I really don't think it sounds anything like Express Yourself. But that's just my opinion. I know not everybody is going to agree, and that's okay, because to me that's what makes us all special, and if we all had the same opinions, the world would be a boring place.

Second, i'm really looking foreward to hearing who's on board to remix this song. I saw that Chew Fu is on board, and honestly my reaction to that when I read it, was just "Oh, him again"? I don't mean to dis him, because he has remixed a few songs that i've kinda sorta liked, but none of his mixes have ever been my favorite remix of a song, so i'm not that excited to see he's remixing this. He's done some good work, and he's also done some not so good work. I've had a hard time listening to his remixes after his work on Rihanna's Russian Roulette. My feelings on that song was that Moran & Rigg's Mixes were unbeatable anyways, but really, Chew's Mixes of Russian Roulette to me were actually painfull to listen to. Not only that, but his mixes are just to ghetto for my style, and they all seem to sound the same. But once again, that's just me and my opinion, and also my personal preference. If people disagree which i'm sure they will, it's okay. Anyways, i'm done with that rant. Back to remixers. I feel this is the most club ready Lady Gaga song she's ever released as a single. I think it's gonna be hard to get a remix out of this song that's as good or better than the original song, and I LOOOVE club mixes, but with a song like this, I think if it can't be done as good if not better than the original, don't bother. The only unofficial mix i've heard that I actually like so far is the Lady Gaga vs. Kelly Rowland Mix. It gives the chorus an extra kick, and I like that. It will be interesting to see some of the other unofficial mixes once the acapella surfaces. Sometimes I like the unofficials better than the official ones. I'm hoping for a mix from John Michael & Billy Waters. I loved what they did with Bad Romance, however, I hope this time they keep the entire song intact. The only thing I didn't like about their Bad Romance Mix was that the chorus was missing after the first verse, and the ending chorus was not the true ending chorus to the song. So for that, I chose a different favorite mix, which i'll get to in a minute. Also, I hope there arn't any mixes for this song that never see's the light of day like Eddie Baez's Anthem Mix to Bad Romance. I can't believe that never came out. Weird. Although after his recent Black Eyed Peas - The Time remix, i'm not so sure i'd wanna hear it. Also there were DJ Paulo mixes Telephone and Alejandro that never saw the light of day, only a DJ Paulo Dub to Alejandro. A small clip of his mix to Telephone can be heard on Youtube, and i've always wanted to hear the full high quality version, but it never came out. Bleh!

And last, here are my favorite mixes to all of Lady Gaga's singles.

Just Dance (Manny Lehman Mix)
Poker Face (Bryan Reyes Mix)
Love Game (Ranny Vs. The Popstar Mix)
Eh, Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say) (Pet Shop Boys Mix)
Paparazzi (Cajjmere Wray's Flashbulb Radio Mix)
Bad Romance (Bimbo Jones Vocal Mix)
Telephone (Kaskade Mix)
Alejandro (Bimbo Jones Radio Mix)

I'm hoping for some good hard hitting big name remixers on Born This Way. It is worthy of it in my opinion. After hearing Moran & Rigg's remixes to Ne-Yo's Monster, i'd love to hear what they could do to BTW. Monster was already a dance song that they turned into an even harder hitting dance anthem with emotion. That's what this song needs. I don't think it needs something dark, because it's not a dark song, it's a very happy uplifting song actually. But I guess we'll see in the next month or so whatever will be. Can't wait! And also can't wait for the music video to come out. I bet it's gonna be epic!

I certainly apologize for the lack of Grace in my post. You shared my thoughts better than I did. "They feel as though they were born the wrong gender" is quite a paradox in a song called "Born this Way."
Thanx to Clubmixaholic for getting the thread back on track. I, too was relieved to find that GaGa had NOT gone rock as was rumored. Instead, she drops this, her most dance club ready single to date.

Manhattan Clique and Alias might be pretty good. I've enjoyed Alias since they remixed Miley's Who Owns My Heart. And I like Manhattan Clique alot too, as long as they don't do anything even close to what they did with Katy Perry's E.T.! I didn't like that at all, however, I have enjoyed all their other Katy Perry remixes. I hope we get some more names though that are some of the more big name hard hitting remixers. I thought of Peter Rauhofer after I posted, and I would like to hear what he could do with the song, because I did like on some level his Bad Romance mix, but once again, it annoyed me that he had 12 + minutes to work with and didn't use all the vocals, didn't put the chorus after verse 1, and didn't use the true ending chorus, much like John Michael & Billy Waters did. Good mixes, but the lack of full vocals, and ending a song the way the original does kinda destroys it for me. I would love to see Rauhofer back the way he used to be, say back when he remixed Christina Aguilera's Beautiful. That was epic! Also loved his Part 2 Trance Anthem to Nelly Furtado's Say It Right. Only thing I woulda done different is once again put a chorus after verse 1. And even maybe something like Madonna's 4 Minutes To Save The World. His remix for that didn't use all the vocals, but the effects were awesome!!! I used to really like Jody Den Broeder, but lately I haven't enjoyed any of his mixes, so i'm hoping not to see him remixing anymore GaGa songs unless he can go back to his old style of mixing. Aude has remixed alot of her songs, but i'm not really a fan of his style. I like how his mixes sound, but they're barely danceable in my opinion. They're almost like a dark ambient style mix.

Yes, I tottally agree on that but there is something that most of you are not aware of, It's straightly ILLEGAL to advertise a show as ''Live'' from the law if it's not, I'll repeat it... I-L-L-E-G-A-L. People that have been on a show that is not Live and it got advertised as live they have the right to ask a 75% refund in all cases.

EDIT: This applies on all territories.

Maybe she's fed up with all the fake singers who pretend to sing live because it's offensive to artists who can actually...sing live?

If $250 is paid for a "live concert" ticket, actual "live" singing is expected - not lip-syncing.

I agree that it's up to the fans on how their money is spent, but it's unfair to the people who are being misleaded into thinking it's live singing when it's the exact same audio on their mp3 player.

Don't worry, Lady Gaga is not being nasty. She often swears a lot. :)

Quote:
Didn't this hag claim that this lip syncing bitch was her sister seperated at birth?
Didn't this fake write two songs for this lip syncing bitche's album?
Didn't this tranny say she grew up watching this lip syncing bitch?
Didn't this guido say she would watch this lip syncing bitch after school at TRL?
Didn't this copycat call this lip sycning bitch the Queen of Pop?
don't get me wrong, I love Gaga's music :)

Doesn't look like the Target deal is happening anymore, but I hope those remixes still get released!!

Gaga Dissolves Deal With Target
By Advocate.com Editors

A source close to Lady Gaga confirms to The Advocate that the entertainer has dissolved her deal with Target over the chain's controversial political donations. "She and Target didn't see eye to eye on Target's policy of political donations and how they affect the LGBT community," the source tells The Advocate exclusively.

The Advocate was tipped off that the deal had crumbled by Bob Witeck of Witeck-Combs Communications.

Target came under fire by LGBT activists last year when it was revealed the discount store chain had donated corporate funds to MN Forward, a political action committee that supported antigay candidate Tom Emmer in his failed 2010 run for governor of Minnesota.

Last month Gaga discussed the decision to partner with Target with Billboard magazine.

"That discussion was one of the most intense conversations I've ever had in a business meeting," Gaga told the music publication. "Part of my deal with Target is that they have to start affiliating themselves with LGBT charity groups and begin to reform and make amends for the mistakes they've made in the past ... our relationship is hinged upon their reform in the company to support the gay community and to redeem the mistakes they've made supporting those [antigay] groups."

I just heard all the mixes and... well... I'm not really feeling any of them, the LA Riots sounds good but not that good... Let's wait and see if the pt 2 have better remixes.

Chew Fu totally wins on this one, most original of the three. Sounds a bit out of sync right at the very end, but it most makes me love the song all over again.

Very disappointed with the first remix package, if you can even call it a remix package. The DJ White Shadow Remix is pretty much a sucky Dub. The LA Riots Remix had potential but fails to deliver. Where's the first verse and the parts before the final chorus? And the Chew Fu Remix is probably one of his worst to date, and I absolutely HATE how he didn't include the whole "No matter gay straight or bi" part. How did any of these even get approved? Hopefully there are some major big name remixers on board for the part 2 remixes that will actually do this song some justice. I know they can afford it. Still waiting for some decent unofficial remixes too. Hoping Rafael Lelis, Billy Waters, Trypsin, Popstar, and Alex Dubbing will tackle this soon. I'm still praying for a Tony Moran & Warren Rigg Mix. So far though my favorite Remix is the DJ's From Mars Remix.

I haven't heard the mix yet, but to remove that line sounds like a homophobic move. I wonder who came up with the idea, and who approved it. Maybe they are thinking it will make it more likely that non-gay clubs/DJs will play it.

Seems kind of strange that they would think they have to do that, since it's #1 on the Hot 100, and played all over radio. It's not just gay boys that put here there (as much as we would like to believe we did!).

These mixes do absolutely nothing for the song. It's a shame because you'd think with a track this bland you could only improve.

Hopefully the Part II mixes deliver.

Gays and woman are to thank along with payola for radio play.

The song is just not good.

I like it. Though the Part 1 remixes don't sound promising. I was hoping the L.A. Riots mix would be good, as I loved their mix of Kylie's "Boombox." I think "BTW" is a nice departure from The Fame/Monster sound. Instantly catchy, and a positive message. I don't care who/what she ripped off, because there is a long line in front of her of people who have done the same if not worse. Besides, Express Yourself is 21 years old. It's okay to "re-invent" it. Isn't that what Madonna is all about? There have been many songs about self empowerment, and at least two others with the Born This Way title/message. Carl Bean - Born This Way & Dusty Springfield Born This Way. I'm not sure what the big deal is.

I mean Britney's "HIAM" is about hooking up with a guy. Is this the first song about that?

Anyhow, Gaga is still #1 after (4) weeks. HIAM is #16, and Till The World Ends only entered at #20. I'm not a Britney hater at ALL. HIAM and TTWE are both on my iPod. I'm just sayin'... that's all.

Digitally delivered:

Bimbo Jones Club Mix (6:50)
Bimbo Jones Dub (6:16)
Dada Life Club Remix (5:15)
Grum Club Remix (5:59)
Jost & Naaf Remix (5:57)
Manhattan Clique Remix (6:27)
Michael Woods Remix (6:25)
Starsmith Club Remix (6:45)
Twin Shadow Remix (4:04)
Zedd Club Remix (6:30)

Also, for the record, Chew Fu was initially only provided the song's chorus to use for his remix. He had to ask them to send him the verses, and he made the most of what they gave him. He is very pro-gay and would never have left out those parts of the song on purpose. I can only guess that LA Riots and White Shadow were only given select parts of the song to use as well.

I'm surprised that the Bimbo Jones mix cuts out the whole "No matter gay, straight, or bi..." too. The repeat the first verse twice. I'm kind of surprised.

The MHC is quite good. I haven't heard the other mixes yet.

It's funny you mention the (Amy Alderman's Don't Be a Drag, Just Be A Club Mix), PhillipAnthonyJr. I stumbed upon the title earlier while on google looking for the Bryan Reyes Mixes to On The Floor and S&M, neither of which I could find, so I gave up and started looking for the Gaga mix instead, and every single place it said that it was, it wasn't. Very frustrating. Also the same exact story with (Nylson Wash's Vocal Version 2 Remix). Anybody have any idea where these as well as the Wayne G Remix can be heard? As far as the official mixes go, MHC is my favorite so far. Unfortunatelly not feeling many of the unofficial remixes so far. I thought the Rafael Lelis mixes were gonna blow me away as many of his does, but these didn't. On another note, i'm almost still hoping for a Rauhofer Mix.

Regarding remixes I don't think anyone quite get's it. There is no such thing as a GOOD remix when you are working with a BAD song to begin with!

IMO this is by far one of Gaga's worst singles, so to wait and be blown away by some hot remix won't happen because the song the remixers have to work with is crap.

I disagree, actually. I think when a song is bad the chances the remixes will be better is a lot higher since you (usually) can't get as bad as the original song. Not only better but there have been plenty of times that I thought a remix of a bad song was good. Now that's not to say this applies to every time, because it doesn't, but it does happen enough that I don't really think that's true. That's just my opinion though.

I do have to agree with you that I don't care for this song or it's remixes at all. I like the message of the song but that's about it. XD

Of all these pieces of broken dreams, there's one that scares and confuses me. If all these things that you say are true, you should be someone I always knew.

Any chance for a set of Audio Assembly mixes for this song? :) I think we still need an awesome over the top mix for this one, and I think Audio Assembly would be the ones to do it. It'd be good to have a really awesome difinitive club mix before we start focusing on Judas, which will be here on the 19th.

Official Desi Bollywood Remix. It's actually got a pretty cool vibe to it. :) I like it. There's also a Hector Fonseca Remix. I get the sense that there may be a small Part 3 set of remixes released for this just before Judas is released next Tuesday. That would be cool.

Re: Born This Way (Bollywood Remix)
I like this, actually, as well.

There's a more "Bollywood" sounding mix, titled Culture Shock Remix, at the bottom of this page:
http://www.desihits.com/news/view/dh-exclusive-lady-gaga-desifies-born-this-way-20110411 (video below)

Born This Way (Culture Shock Remix)
"Created and produced by Culture Shock, this version of "Born This Way" fuses Bhangra with elements of Dub step and features both Lomaticc and Sunny Brown's vocals."

This, however, is complete trash. I can't take her seriously anymore, which wouldn't be a problem if she wasn't trying to make everyone do just that.

I can say pretty definitively that this won't happen. This song just isn't very inspiring for us. I think the next song of pride and determination we'll be putting our stamp on is P!nk's F**kin' Perfect.

This album cover is what Shangela from "RuPaul's Drag Race" would call THE FOOL.

This reminds when Cyndi Lauper got so stuck in her "She's So Unusual" persona that people got tired of it and that was one reason why she stopped being a charting act on the pop chart in the 80's. (Whereas Madonna went from "Lucky Star"/"Like A Virgin" image to a more "mainstream" look ("Live To Tell') and kept evolving from there and remained a charting act.) Too bad that it looks like Gaga is headed down the same path as Lauper.

The only good thing that could come out of that album cover photo would be a Harley-Davidson sponsorship.

"Weird Al" has done a parody of the song. From his You Tube channel:

"This is my parody of Lady Gaga's song "Born This Way" -- which, I'm sorry to say, will NOT be included on my upcoming album."

You can read about the whole Gaga saga here:

Yes, because someone trying to maintain some sense of artistic integrity and not "evolving" (meaning "become more mainstream") just to sell a few more records is obviously a bad thing and should be frowned upon. Honestly, an artist who chooses to evolve in their own direction - whether in sync with what the public wants and/or needs - is a far more noble calling in life than to turn out mindless pop hits one after the other. Unfortunately, Gaga hasn't had enough time to really prove if she's going to take the high road or sell out - I mean "evolve" - at every possible turn just to maintain some "chart success."

Lady Gaga has already sold out. Just listen to the stuff she did before she became famous. She was inspired by David Bowie and Queen. She's really talented, but she's clearly been playing the game of fame ever since she realised that people don't value good songwriting over hot beats. In an early interview she admitted to having had higher standards on her songs in the past, but that she dropped it because she didn't want to come off as pretentious. It's not that she's bad at doing what she's doing right now, but I think it's far beneath her actual talent.

Just my 2 cents.

I personally I am done with hearing about GaGa. I like her music but the hype on her songs/album happening WAYYYYYYYY in advance is obnoxious. Her the album is not even out and I am done with the "anticipation" of it coming out. I am about to put her on "ignore" :)

Wow, I didn't think it was possible to make this song any worse. Lol.

I actually prefer this version: the lyrics are more audible.

Was never getting a huge reaction with this song until I started playing a mash up w/ the instrumental of Let Me Think About It. Crowd goes nuts.

Born This Way - Album

The 14 track digital release is up on Amazon Down!oads for 99 cents. I believe it's a One Day Only Sale.

Born This Way [+digital booklet]

(Or, you could pay $11.99 for the same version on iTunes, which also has the Special Edition for $15.99.)

She is really trying to break some records. BTW is .99 cents again on Amazon. Wonder if this will push it over the one million mark. Will Britney OIDIA records be broken ???

Almighty Cover

Gaga Girls "Born This Way" CD5 (Almighty Records)
1.(Almighty Boys Radio Mix)
2.(Almighty Boys Club Mix)
3.(Almighty Boys Dub)
4.(Almighty Boys Instrumental Mix)
5.(Almighty Radio Mix)
6.(Almighty Club Mix)
7.(Almighty Dub)
8.(Almighty Instrumental Mix)
Production wise I really enjoyed the mixes and found it much superior than the actual official mixes delivered. It's too bad the Almighy crew did not officially remix the real deal, if you recall for Katy Perry's "Hot & Cold" Almighty remixed both the original vocals and also did a cover.

Weird Al's parody video was released on You Tube today...

Quite clever and hysterical!

Reminds me of how Britney's face was superimposed over another dancer's, during the bathroom dance sequence in the "Piece Of Me" music video.
